Hello fellow lions.
Now that we have turned the page of the calendar are any of you thinking “Spring?” Are you ready to get the golf clubs out? Are you chomping at the bit to go fishing? Are you wondering just what the Pirates are going to look like? Are you anticipating all the yard Work? Yes, things surely have a way to become busier when we say goodbye to Winter and welcome the Spring. The big question is what will this Spring mean for your club? Will you once again break out the grill and get busy with those chicken barbecues? Will you do a highway cleanup? Will you host a picnic?
Hopefully in the next few months we will see a let-up in the corona virus and things returning to normal. And as things return to normal we can all look to new ways to serve our communities and the world. Perhaps we can all set a goal of establishing one more service project. We may look to finding one more way to raise money. And we could find just one more way to be visible to our communities. With Covid restrictions lifted there will be innumerably more o
pportunities to serve. We just might be able to attract more men and women to the cause of Lionism.
Also let’s think more on a district level. Attendance at the Spring Rally has been falling off precipitously, which parallels our overall decline in membership. This year’s rally will be a bit different in that there will be no banquet, but it still promises to be a most worthwhile affair. If you have never attended a rally this just might be the year to do it, it will be held on April 17 at the Lamplighter in
Murrysville. This would be an excellent opportunity to be become reconnected with the district and learn about all that is going on. I wish you all the best and God’s blessing.
