My Fellow Lions,
By now, most of you have, or are in the process of, installing new officers for the coming year. There certainly are a number of challenges to be met this year. We are still in the midst of a pandemic, and we are down in membership. Very few meetings are being held, and a number of fundraising events have been cancelled. We have to be creative about how to hold meetings - zoom, skype, etc.
There were so many volunteers working during the pandemic, delivering food and doing other things for people who could not get out, that, if we could contact these people, maybe we could get some good, committed members to help us in our mission, "We serve."
Our drive for new members is of utmost importance because our numbers are dwindling. Perhaps the new officers have good ideas about attracting and keeping members. When you invite someone to visit your club, make sure that the setting is inviting. All members should talk to them and make them feel welcome. Listen to their ideas.
Good luck to all of the new officers this coming year. If you need any help facing these challengers, please feel free to contact me.
Yours in Lionism,
