Dear Fellow Lions:
Happy New Year.
I hope all of you had a nice Christmas. It probably was not your traditional celebration, but I do hope you were able to share the holiday in some way with family and friends.
As we begin a new calendar year, we are still under the cloud of Covid. Restrictions abound, and we have not been able to resume normal Lions' activities. Many of you have been innovative with your club's functions. Again this year, Lions assisted with Toys for Tots and bell-ringing for the Salvation Army, collecting food for distribution to those in need, and other permitted service projects. Nursing home visits were not on the agenda this year, and Christmas gatherings were cancelled. Starting off 2021, we are still under prohibitions; however, with the vaccines now available, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Perhaps some of our programs and events will have to remain virtual for awhile, but we must move forward.
Please let me know if I can help with any of your club's functions. If you have any new and innovative ideas, feel free to let me know. They may be of value and use to other clubs in the District.
Thank you for your service. I wish you all a very Happy and healthy New Year.
Yours in Lionism,
