New Alexandria Lions are hosting a Charity Golf Outing on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, to benefit the Lions Lunchables program. The outing will be held at Mannitto Golf Course, 491 Bush Rd, New Alexandria, PA 15670. There will be a shotgun start at 8:00 AM. “Two Man Scramble.” Includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, lunch, dinner, prizes, $10K hole-in-one challenge, and complimentary group photo. $65 per individual, $240 per foursome. The University of Pittsburgh Department of Ophthalmology and the UPMC Eye Center will host the 2017 Annual Research Seminar presented by the Pennsylvania Lions Sight Conservation and Eye Research Foundation on Saturday, October 7, 2017. The program will be held in the Biomedical Sciences Tower, Room S100A. The program will start at 8:00 AM with continental breakfast followed by research talks presented by the invited speakers. Lunch will be provided and the seminars will end around 12:20 PM. The seminar day will conclude after a tour of the Ophthalmology department. Completed registration forms must be returned no later than Friday, September 22, 2017. Hello fellow Lions! I am proud to be serving as your District 14-E Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) Chairperson this year. I am very excited to share with you all of the goings-on at LCIF. Please let me know if your club would be interested in hearing a presentation on LCIF, and we can find a date that works.
As we start a new Lions year, I challenge each of your clubs to come up with some ideas to increase your donations to LCIF over the year. Perhaps you can advertise that the proceeds from one of your existing fundraisers will directly benefit a specific LCIF project, such as the Measles Initiative or the Special Olympics Opening Eyes Program. read more…

This date coincides with your club submission for the Membership and Service reports. If submissions are received after that date, it will be included in the next month’s report.
